Advanced Customer Support Terms Of Service
Content Farmer Professional Edition™ is now sold with or without a customer support plan of a given duration. Unlimited customer support is no longer offered. Before you get upset, please consider our reasoning for adopting this policy:
- Approximately 85% of Content Farmer™ owners never sought customer support (that's a wild-ass guess, but it's coming from the guy who provides 99% of all customer support.)
- Of the approximately 15% who did seeks support 14%+ sought it only for initial guidance and were then on their way within the first couple of weeks.
- The remainder constituted a handful of users who consumed hour upon hour of time asking about every little feature that was already documented in the user guide.
- Customer support is not the same thing as bug fixes -- bug fixes require no plans and should be reported directly to customer support for attention as time allows.
- The high needs of that handful of people is what drives the price of Content Farmer up and it's more appropriate for those people to pay for support than for it to be distributed to all users (which is oftentimes how many businesses solve the problem).
Because of those "facts", we've decided to make those who consume customer support pay for it and those who never use it to never have to pay for it. This is by far a more balanced policy. For those purchasing support, here's what you get:
- One free installation put on a server with cPanel or Plesk per 6 month contract.
- For the time period of your contract, you can ask how-to type questions of customer support. We attempt to get to all questions within 1 business hour (and usually achieve that), but it may take as much as 1 business day for a response.
- On up to 6 projects, you can ask us to go into your setup and make recommendations for performance improvement. These recommendations are our opinion based on what we know. There's always someone smarter out there who may have better advice and there's no substitute for learning yourself.
- Free updates and upgrades for the life of your customer support contract — remember the current upgrade was subject to a $100.00 fee!
What will you NOT receive as a customer support plan purchaser?
- Suggestions on SEO strategies.
- Guidance on programs other than Content Farmer Professional Edition™.
- Content sources -- you're responsible for knowing what content you want to post and where to go to get it.
All customer support agreements are bound by these terms which may change at any time without prior notice.
